Fewer candidates but more wishes
94% student terminal to be registered on Parcoursup or 17,000 lower than 2020, for demographic reasons. The number of pupils fell mainly in the general and technological series. Parcoursup offers more and more training: nearly 13,300 in 2021 (excluding apprenticeship) against 12,800 in 2020.
96.6% of registrants confirmed at least one wish (98.3% in 2020):
- 89.7% of vocational terminals;
- 97% of technology;
- 98.7% of general.
Vocational high school students more often express wishes in apprenticeship, not counted here. One candidate confirmed 12.8 wishes on average (compared to 10.9 in 2020). The proportion of candidates who chose training outside their home academy reached 74% (+5 points).
The sectors requested
Little changes in the composition of wish lists. Are acclaimed:
- the license , including the health access license (LAS, which makes it possible to apply for health studies): it represents 33% of wishes;
- the higher technician’s certificate (BTS): 30% of applications.
Preparatory classes for grandes écoles (CPGE) constitute 6% of the vows, State diplomas (DE) in the health and social sector 6%, the specific health access path (Pass) 5%. The DE nursing attracts more and more candidates and remains the most requested training.
The university bachelors of technology (BUT, bac + 3 training) replaced this year the university diplomas in technology (DUT, bac + 2) and offer the same specialties. They represent 10.7% of wishes.
35% of candidates chose a BUT (33% had opted for a DUT in 2020) and 45% a BTS (43% in 2020). These vocational training courses have less success with general terminales. But the GOAL is favored by 57% of technological terminals, and the BTS by 82% of technology and 89% of professionals.
68% of applicants make at least one license wish . It remains an alternative for those who apply in selective courses: nearly 90% of candidates for a CPGE or a business or engineering school also apply for a license.
58% of those enrolled choose one or two training courses . 89% of candidates for a CPGE also make a wish in license, 38% in GOAL and 27% in engineering school.
