Within the framework of the official electoral propaganda, the candidates can send to the voters the professions of faith (electoral circulars) by the propaganda commission.
The professions of faith provided by the candidates are also published on the website of the Ministry of the Interior.(new window). This site is updated daily with professions of faith for which candidates have provided a scanned file. The lists are presented in the order assigned after a draw for election notice boards . However, these information documents accessible online can in no way be used as ballots to vote.
Regional elections and assemblies in Corsica, Guyana and Martinique
The regional elections are organized in twelve metropolitan regions: Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Brittany, Loire Valley Center, Great Eastern, Haut-de-France, Île-de-France, Normandy, New Aquitaine, Occitanie, Pays de la Loire and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. These elections also take place in Guadeloupe and La Réunion.
In Corsica, Guyana and Martinique, since the establishment of the single community, voters are called upon to vote in territorial elections. These territorial elections are organized according to the same rules as regional elections.
The departmental elections are organized throughout the country except in communities with special status:
- City of Paris, unique community with special status exercising both the powers of the municipality and the department;
- metropolis of Lyon;
- Corsica ;
- Guyana and Martinique;
- overseas communities;
- New Caledonia.
